ODART Sweep Junior Podium at BC Provincial Para Alpine Championships

Will Goessaert, Mike Whitney and Kaemon Dubeau trained this April with the Canadian National Team. Sponsored by Alpine Canada Alpin (ACA) and lead by Michael Clarke, Head Coach CDAST, the boys tore up the slopes for 3 days at Canada’s largest mountain, Whistler, BC. The invite was followed their excellent showing at the Canadian Nationals.

Following the camp, Will, Mike and Kaemon stayed to represent Ontario in the BC Provincial Para Alpine Championship, sponsored by the Disabled Skiing Association of BC, with a field of 44 racers.

Mike Whitney lead the podium for Ontario with a 3rd place bronze medal in the Men’s Standing category and lead the Junior category with a 1st place Gold medal! Will and Kaemon completed the medal sweep in the Junior Category with Silver and Bronze respectfully.
Congratulations to the 3 Musketeers for an outstanding effort and the best showing ODART has ever had at the BC Provincial Championship.

A special thank you to our sponsors, volunteers and parents that made all this possible for the team. “Chaperone Mom Whitney” managed a number of runs in the sunshine between showing the boys how to navigate their way through the airports, buses, transit systems, restaurants and schedules and yet finding a way to send back reports. Sounds like coaching material!

Also thank you to Alpine Canada Coaches Mike and Lasse for and excellent camp and their continued support.

Congrats Will, Mike and Kaemon for finishing off the ODART racing season on an exceptional high!
